Setting up Microsoft Outlook.

What you'll need before you get started:
Your email address and password.
Your incoming an outgoing mail servers (these are usually both: mail.yourdomainname.com)

Step 1
Open Microsoft Outlook and select "Tools", then "E-mail Accounts".



Step 2
Make sure the option is selected that says "Add new e-mail accoutn", then click "Next".



Step 3
Select "POP3" as the server type and click "Next".



Step 4
Fill in the User Information section with your name and email address.

Fill in the Logon Information section with you entire email address as your
username (eg.
jane@domain.com) and your password.

Under the Server Information settings, both your incoming and outgoing
servers will be in the form of mail.yourdomain.com (so if I'm setting up the
email for
http://www.alcovycreative.com, my mail servers will both be mail.alcovycreative.com).

Click the "More Settings" button in the lower right part of the window.



Step 5
On the window that pops up, click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.



Step 6
Ensure the option is selected that says "My outgoing server (SMTP)
requires authentication".

Also, ensure the option is selected that says "Use same settings as
my incoming mail server". Click "OK".



Step 7
Click "Finish". You're done!
